Watch the Celebrity Safety Rules by O-Town, the multi-platinum selling group and hit ABC & MTV show “Making the Band,” and by Chris Kirkpatrick of N’SYNC.

1. Adults should not ask for a child's help - it is a common trick used by abductors [watch video]

2. Scared: don't be afraid to ask for help if you're scared (someone approaches you and your instincts tell you this may be dangerous - go get help)
[watch video]

3. Good People: most people are good and would never hurt a child. (we don't want children to grow up believing the world is full of evil people.)
[watch video]

4. Name on clothes: having your name on your clothes allows a stranger to pretend he knows you - creates trust
[watch video]

5. Nobody's home: Have a plan if you come home and no one’s home - have a pre-approved trusted neighbor list - preferably someone who is at home most of the time, for example a retired person.
[watch video]

6. Password: If someone tells you that your Mom or Dad asked them to pick you up, ask them for the password you and your family agreed on in advance. If they don't know it then chances are your Mom or Dad didn't send them.
[watch video]

7. Phone Number: children should memorize their phone number and emergency contact numbers - how to dial 911
[watch video]

8. Playing with Friends: Never go to a park alone - use a buddy system in case you find yourself in a dangerous situation
[watch video]

9. Secrets: Anytime an adult ask you to keep a secret from your parents or trusted adults this is a red flag for danger - something is wrong
[watch video]

10. Shortcuts: avoid the use of shortcuts - if you get in trouble know one will know where to find you - they will follow the path you should have been on - plus shortcuts are usually areas without easy access to get help
[watch video]

11. Chris Kirkpatrick of N'SYNC talks about internet safety
